Part-Time Live-in All-Rounder – Dorset
Location: Wimborne Minster, Dorset
Working Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: £18 gross per hour
Accommodation: Private 1-bedroom cottage with utilities included (No pets, due to the accommodation and animals on site)
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and practical Housekeeper / All-Rounder to support a private household in Dorset on a part-time basis. This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys country living and is happy assisting across the home, grounds, and wider estate.
The role will include general housekeeping and helping to maintain both properties to a high standard, including the main house and barn conversion. You’ll also assist with laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, basic property maintenance, and keeping an eye on the condition of the buildings and surrounding grounds.
There will also be some outdoor and estate support, including assisting with gardening and helping with the care of the family’s animals, which include horses, hens, goats, and pigs. You may also help with managing household supplies, occasional errands, food shops, and general all-round support as needed. This is very much a supporting role, rather than sole responsibility for every area.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a similar private household or estate role preferred
- Comfortable around animals and happy assisting with their care
- Practical, organised, and able to use initiative
- Confident driver with a full UK driving licence
- Reliable, proactive, and happy working independently
- Flexible and adaptable approach to household life
