Working Days/Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays or Tuesdays & Fridays (12:00pm to 5:00 pm)
Salary: Between £19–£21 gross per hour (Depending on Experience)
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook to support a gentleman in his five-bedroom home in Cookham. This is a lovely long-term opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping a home beautifully organised and enjoys preparing fresh, simple and healthy food. The principal works from home, so discretion and an awareness of working quietly around the household will be important. He is looking for someone trustworthy and proactive who can use their initiative and, ideally, become a valued long-term part of the household.
Role Responsibilities
The role will involve general cleaning and maintaining the home to a high standard, although not all five bedrooms will require regular cleaning. You’ll take care of laundry and ironing for one person, keep the house tidy and organised, and notice the little things that need doing without always needing direction.
Cooking is also an important part of the position. You’ll prepare simple, fresh and nutritious meals for one, with a strong focus on clean, organic ingredients. Think steamed vegetables, fresh salads and uncomplicated, healthy dishes rather than elaborate cooking. There will also be occasional food shopping or collection of groceries as required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced in private household housekeeping
- A confident cook, comfortable preparing fresh, simple and healthy meals
- Must have drivers licence and own vehicle
- Detailed, organised and able to use initiative
