Start Date: Flexible for the right candidate
Location: Private Rural Estate near Andover, Hampshire
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (with 1-hour lunch break)
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 gross per annum
About the Role
We’re looking for a practical and enthusiastic Parkland Gardener to join the Garden & Parkland team on a stunning private estate near Andover. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves large-scale outdoor work — from maintaining grasslands and paddocks to supporting tree care and managing naturalised areas across the estate’s vast parkland setting.
Reporting to the Team Leader and Head Gardener, you’ll help care for a wide range of areas including the arboretum, Front Park, paddocks, and wildflower meadows — with plenty of variety and space to work with.
Key Responsibilities
Your focus will be on maintaining and enhancing the estate’s wider grounds — operating ride-on and tractor-mounted mowing equipment, caring for wildflower areas, amenity lawns, and grasslands, and assisting with tree care and boundary management.
This role suits someone comfortable with machinery, physically fit, and happy working in all weathers as part of a close-knit and supportive team.
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who has:
	-

Hands-on experience in gardening, estate, or grounds maintenance

	-

Competence using mowing machinery, tractors and outdoor tools

	-

Knowledge of large-scale grass care, trees, or wildflower habitat management

	-

A good work ethic and team spirit

	-

A valid UK driving licence

Chainsaw or tractor certifications and horticultural qualifications would be beneficial, but not essential.
