Live In Domestic Couple for Private Estate Near Reading

Working Days: Monday–Friday (Occasional House and Pet Sitting on Weekends)
Salary: Between £60,000–£65,000 joint salary (Depending on Experience)

About the Family & Property
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable domestic couple to join a lovely private household on a peaceful Estate/Farm in Hampshire, approximately 15 minutes from Reading. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a couple who take real pride in looking after a home, gardens and wider property. The family are looking for a proactive, practical and self-motivated couple who can confidently take ownership of their respective areas while working together to ensure the household and estate are always well cared for.
Role Responsibilities
Housekeeper
The housekeeping side of the role will be approximately 20 hours per week, taking responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of the family’s six-bedroom main house, as well as a two-bedroom cottage on the estate. This will include general cleaning, laundry, ironing and maintaining both properties to a consistently high standard.
There will also be a level of home organisation and household administration, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This may include keeping the home organised, managing household tasks, arranging dry cleaning and assisting with contractors and tradespeople visiting the property when required.
There is no meal planning required, although the family may occasionally appreciate some assistance when hosting a dinner party. The family has children and pets, although there are no childcare responsibilities.
Maintenance Manager / Gardener
The Maintenance Manager / Gardener role will be approximately 40 hours per week, with responsibility for the gardens, outdoor areas and general upkeep of the wider farm grounds.
This person will carry out general property maintenance and repairs, oversee property improvement projects and coordinate external contractors and tradespeople when required. The family would particularly value someone practical and hands-on who is equally comfortable carrying out jobs themselves or recognising when the right professional needs to be brought in.
As a joint responsibility, the couple will occasionally be asked to house sit and care for the family’s friendly dog while the owners are away and a driving licence and at least one vehicle is essential, as there may occasionally be a need to assist with airport transfers.
