Start Date: Flexible for the right candidate
Location: Andover, Hampshire
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (with 1-hour lunch break)
Flexibility: Occasional extra hours and weekend work during shoot season
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 gross per annum
About the Role
A rare opportunity has come up to join the team on a beautifully kept private rural estate just outside Andover. We’re looking for a capable, hands-on Grounds & Estate Worker to support the day-to-day running of this much-loved estate — someone who enjoys the outdoors, works well in a team, and takes real pride in their work.
Working closely with the Team Leader and wider estate staff, you'll help maintain the estate’s woodlands, driveways, footpaths, machinery and outdoor areas. You’ll also play an important role in the shoot season (October to January), assisting with preparations, equipment and logistics to help the days run smoothly.
This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for someone practical, positive and experienced in land or estate work — with plenty of variety across the seasons.
Role Responsibilities
Your work will follow the rhythm of the estate and the seasons — from mowing, fencing and hedge cutting, to planting, footpath care and basic machinery maintenance. You'll be outdoors year-round, supporting with woodland upkeep, vehicle care, and hands-on work across the estate.
During shoot season, you’ll help prepare equipment and transport, assist with guest logistics, and be part of a supportive, well-organised team ensuring everything runs to plan.
We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic who’s happy to get stuck in and contribute wherever needed — someone who enjoys working as part of a small, friendly team and understands the discretion needed in a private estate setting.
