Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 5–8 hours per day
Salary: £20–£25 gross per hour (depending on experience)
About the Family
A lovely, welcoming family of six are looking for an experienced Housekeeper to join them in their beautiful rural home near Marlborough. They have four children along with a friendly family dog.Their home has nine bedrooms, and while they enjoy entertaining every four to six weeks, day-to-day life is busy and centred around family. They are hoping to find someone reliable and proactive who is looking for a long-term position and will become a valued part of the household.
Role Responsibilities
This is primarily a housekeeping role, focused on maintaining a high standard throughout the home. Duties include all general cleaning, hoovering and mopping, changing bed linen, managing laundry and ironing, and keeping wardrobes organised. You'll be trusted to work independently, use your initiative, and take pride in ensuring the home runs smoothly.
The family would also appreciate someone who is happy to lend a hand with day-to-day family life when needed. This may include occasional school runs, light childcare, feeding the dog, or preparing simple family meals if you're confident in the kitchen, although cooking is by no means essential.
Ideal Candidate:
- Confident driver with your own car
- Previous private housekeeping experience
- Comfortable working in a large, busy family home
- Excellent attention to detail with high housekeeping standards
- Organised, proactive and able to work independently
