Family PA for a Beautiful Countryside Weekend Home – Brockenhurst, New Forest
Start Date: ASAP
Location: New Forest, Hampshire
Hours: 5 days per week including weekends (approx. 9:30am–7:30pm)
Salary: From £45,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)
About the Family
This is a warm, down-to-earth family with twin teenage daughters who spend most weekends at their much-loved home in the New Forest. It’s a relaxed countryside setting where they enjoy switching off from London life, spending time outdoors, and hosting friends from time to time. They’re looking for a calm, capable Family PA to become a trusted and consistent presence in the home. Someone who is organised, proactive, and happy to be both behind the scenes and involved in family life.
The household is supported by two gardeners, a part-time housekeeper, and a local cook. When the family are away, there is flexibility in the working schedule.
Role Responsibilities
This is a varied and hands-on role that blends household management with family PA support. You’ll take pride in ensuring the house is always beautifully prepared for the family’s arrival each weekend, from resetting bedrooms and restocking essentials to creating a warm, welcoming feel, especially during the winter months.
Alongside this, you’ll help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, coordinating with gardeners and external contractors, managing household supplies, and assisting with general organisation and light administrative tasks. There are ongoing property and landscaping projects, so it’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved and learning how a private household operates day to day.
A key part of the role is supporting the family’s twin daughters. They are active and sociable, and the family would love someone who is happy to drive them to activities, help organise plans, and suggest fun things to do locally. A positive, easy-going approach and a genuine interest in their world will make all the difference. There is also an element of wardrobe organisation, including coordinating any tailoring, and keeping on top of sports kit and outdoor equipment.
You’ll also assist with diary management and general family logistics, helping to organise things like dog care, local bookings, and small gatherings. The family enjoy relaxed entertaining, so you may occasionally lend a hand with preparing for guests or adding finishing touches to informal dinners.
Overall, it’s a role for someone who enjoys being helpful, organised, and quietly on top of things, with plenty of variety from one weekend to the next.
